About Me
Dr. Courtney Moats, FAAP (formerly known as Dr. Harwell) is a board certified pediatric physician and began practicing with the Ashburn at Ryan Park office of Capital Area Pediatrics in 2011.
Prior to joining CAP, Dr. Moats studied at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk, VA, where she completed a pediatric residency in 2011 and a pediatric internship in 2009. Before that, she graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School, receiving a medical degree in 2008 and a master's degree in biomedical sciences in 2004. Her undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Virginia in 2003.
Dr. Moats was born in Plano, Texas, but grew up in Herndon, VA where she attended Herndon High School. She loves living so close to her family again and watching her nephews and niece grow up. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling abroad and hanging out with friends and family.
