Dr. Ralston Major is a dedicated and compassionate general surgeon who has provided exceptional healthcare to the citizens of Troup County and surrounding areas since 2015. A LaGrange native, Dr. Major’s roots in the community run deep. He graduated from LaGrange High School in 2002, earned his bachelor’s degree from Lipscomb University in 2006, and went on to complete his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in 2010. He finished his general surgery residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga in 2015.

After residency, Dr. Major returned home to LaGrange to establish his practice, becoming the third generation of physicians in his family to serve Troup County. As the founder of Major Surgical & Vein Clinic, he provides a full spectrum of general surgical care and has developed one of Georgia's busiest vein treatment programs, specializing in the treatment of venous insufficiency.

Dr. Major is a respected leader in the medical field, serving as a council member for Georgia Surgical Society, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Southeastern Surgical Congress. He is also actively involved in his community and beyond, having served on various boards, including Living Hope for Honduras, an organization devoted to caring for Honduran orphans, and Young Life, an organization that brings the message of faith to middle and high school students. Currently, he serves on the board of directors for Synovus Bank and the Georgia Surgical Society, reflecting his commitment to leadership and service in both his profession and his community.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Major is a devoted husband to his wife, Amanda, and together they have four young children. In his personal time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing guitar for his church worship team, coaching his children's sports teams, and hunting with his son on their family farm. Dr. Major’s dedication to his patients, his community, and his faith defines his life and work, making him a trusted and esteemed figure throughout the region.
