Shariq Refai, MD, MBA is a board certified psychiatrist and founder of shrinkMD, a multi state telepsychiatry platform providing evidence based psychiatric care across ten states. He serves as Team Psychiatrist for the Jacksonville Jaguars and as a Consulting Psychiatrist for the NFL Substances of Abuse Program. He completed his psychiatry residency training at John Peter Smith Hospital from 2011 to 2013 after transferring from the University of Hawai‘i, where he trained from 2009 to 2011. Dr. Refai also holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and maintains an active clinical practice in Jacksonville, Florida. He is licensed to practice medicine in ten states.
