Krista Pugliesi is a psychology post-doctoral fellow at CBI. She earned her Masters in Child Psychology from Duquesne University in 2017 and her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010. Prior to going back for her graduate education, she worked as a project coordinator in a research lab at the University of Pittsburgh where she conducted behavioral research focusing on infants and toddlers (aged 2- months to 3- years) who are and who are not at heightened risk of receiving a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder, with the aim of earlier diagnosis and intervention. Additionally, she worked as a Therapeutic Staff Support, providing individualized behavioral treatment to a child diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and his family. Krista has experience within the school and private practice settings, providing psychological evaluations, consultation, and counseling services to children, adolescents, and their families. She has served as a consultant to provide client-focused/student-focused and systems-level consultation in the schools. In all facets of her work, Krista believes it is paramount to isolate individual factors that may differentiate level of therapeutic benefit to best align a child’s and family’s treatment needs with evidence-based practice.
